This game did a superb job on the cut scenes and voiceovers. Alias the game is much like the hit TV show. Covert Ops, Espionage, and all the cool spy gadgets that go along with. The setting of the game is much like any of the Alias episodes, unfortunately the gameplay just doesn't deliver what any fan is expecting or what Acclaim intended.
Right from the start any keyboard and mouse player will find the camera controls to be the most annoying in gaming history. That maybe harsh to say but this reviewer can confidently say the worst I have ever seen. It made controlling Sydney Jennifer Gardner frustrating as anything. Sure you will get used to it after a while, but that's not to say you don't quit the game and come back numerous times before you do. There are plenty of gadgets that you will use to get you through all your tasks.
Things like lock picking tools, mini cameras, razor prisms, thermal imaging, etc. These so make the game more spy like and accessing them and knowing when to use them is done nicely. An Icon will be displayed so you know the right gadget for the job, if you forget it from the mission briefing.
I liked this feature as it took out a lot of the guess work and time from having to try each gadget before finding the right one. The game is built on sneaking around, avoid being detected, and using stealth to accomplish your goals.
I found with the clunky controls this was hard to do, but on the flip side when the bad guys come at you an honest butt whooping seems to do the job quite well. Sydney's melee attacks are numerous and can clear out a room in no time. Sure there are certain combos that do even more damage, but knowing if they are properly being executed is still on my mind.
In short I just kept mashing all the action buttons and did quite well, seeing an occasional attack that had me guessing how the hell did I do that! This probably might have played better with a game pad, but when I play a PC game I want to use a keyboard and mouse.
You basically need to punch your buttons as quickly as possible and hope the bad guy actually responds to what appears to be well-placed hits.
Sometimes they don't and instead whale on you with heavy tools or pepper you with short bursts of gunfire ' it's quite a challenge to die in this game because no matter how bad of a beating you're getting, they always back away after a few seconds. Another annoying element of the game is no matter how important the task, where enemies are or what kind of hurry you are in, Bristow walks slowly and elegantly up and down stairs.
It's very frustrating. Luckily the bad game mechanics do little to prevent you from beating the game, since the play is so easy. I'm not exaggerating ' as I write this my 2-year-old son is managing to work his way through the game with absolutely no help from me. Despite the horrendous gameplay and a constant stream of in-game messages that lead you by the nose through the plot, Alias does have relatively good graphics and sound. Bristow, for the most part, looks just like Jennifer Garner's character as do the rest of the Alias cast who appear in the game.
In addition, the voices of most of the cast are used for the game as well. Gaming fans will absolutely hate Alias , seeing through its nearly transparent plot and shoddy gameplay in an instant, but fans of the show will likely enjoy the chance to take on the roll of their favorite character even if it's in a bad game.

I chose Mirror 1. After downloading vng-alnr. You'll have to replace the original Alias. That's it! It should work! Joshua 1 point. How the hell do I get this game to install I can get the game to actually install to my C drive but when I try to run it, it asks for the second disk. Paul 0 point. Copying all the files from both iso's in a folder completed the install successfully, no need to creat Alias2.
Just copy all the files from the second iso into the first iso's path when it gives the error message during installation. Disk 2 must have the label Alias2 when mounted, it is useless to rename the ISO file to Alias2 because when mounted the drive will only show numbers as a name. The solution that worked for me was to copy the files to a folder and create an ISO of it named Alias2. Working ok. Anon 0 point. Running this one's a mess, I managed to install it using the advice in Darke's comment.
Couldn't find any help for my issues unfortunately. I'd reccomend grabbing a PS2 Iso and seeing how emulation goes, it's not perfect but it's given me better mileage than the PC version. DARKE -1 point.
Answerboi, thanks for your answer, and yes I've tried everything that time. Now i tried to copy and merge both isos content into a folder, run the setup and it works idk last time it doesn't, it still checks disc 2. The game is working now i think, but still need no-disc patch, because 'again' the game asking for Disc 2. It's been so long XD
